Got this drive for my new laptop. Comes with a 3 1/2 mounting tray and some screws. Windows recognized the drive straight away and cloneing the disk with Acronis true image 2011 home was simple and straightforward. Have been using it now for a few days and it is much faster than my old one. Windows 7 gives it a performance index rating of 7.9 the highest rating. Would definitely buy another if I needed one. Have got a Kingston SSD in my desktop and would rate it above that.

I purchased this to install Linux and windows and it installed easy and is fast. It is the best upgrade that I have done in years. It works great with an Asus z68 MB using the Intel controller.

It's a very nice product, running it in my Dell laptop which is using the max Read & Write power. boot Windows 7 in less than 15s. I had no issue for the moment.

Great product. So far, it hasn't let me down. My suggestion would be to purchase an additional hard drive to store files and documents as I have already maxed the capacity of the SSD with just applications and games.

I would like to add, although there was no mention of it in the description, that this product also comes with a hard drive bracket and screws, so there is no need to purchase an additional bracket (which Amazon suggested). My fault really as I should have asked the seller the product details beforehand.

Got this when my 7200rpm seagate started reporting S.M.A.R.T. errors. Took 5 minutes to install the drive, and I had win7 x64 installed in 15 minutes. The speed difference between the mechanical hd and this is astounding, and I'm currently only running it on sata 2 as well (waiting for my sata3 card to arrive). The holes in the suppied 3.5" adapter didn't line up perfectly with my drive bay (hp-150uk), but I managed to get 2 screws in tight enough that the other 2 didn't really matter (the drive bay runners support the drive well enough). I would definitely recommend this product if your existing drive is on the way out, or if you just fancy a speed boost.

I've had this drive for just over a year now and the performance improvement was phenomenal.

I travel a lot and as this was installed on my main machine it has probably only seen about 5 months of use in the year but last night it failed. As is the usual trick with these devices you can't really send it back under warranty as there is no way to wipe a failed drive before return. This means that if it is only the controller chip that has failed then corsair would have full access to your emails/works data/etc on the data chips.... so it just has to go to scrap.

This is now the second fastest drive failure that I have had. Beware!!
