I installed this PSU on 15-09-10 and it is working perfectly.
There were reports of a faulty first batch but mine is excellent.
Installed this in a Lian Li Pc-x2000 and perfectly silent.
Great unit,runs cool,no noise,Corsair quality, 7 year warranty,(there's confidence)

This gold unit oozes power and classs. It silently and efficiently goes about its business of supplying my power hungry GTX480 x 2. A king amongst power supplies.

This is the best (not one of the best THE best) PSU on market.
Highly efficient, silent, durable with 7 years warranty and unlike some cheaper or older PSU that will give less power every year of use(until you end up like me not having sufficient power and get blue screens) this PSU will always give you what it sais. I used one for my friend and its excellent top quality you cannot be disappointed from the best aren't you? It is expensive but you can buy more expensive ones with less quality!
This is the 1st PSU made 100% by corsair.
Though if you want efficiency but you will not use more than 800W I suggest NOT buy it and buy the 850 version of this like I am using. All PSU no matter how efficient they are not very efficient in 0-20% load so if your system uses up to 250W in everyday use then this PSU will not give you top efficiency. Though it's still pretty high 86-89% eff. in 20% but it want be 92-95% that this PSU give in loads between 30-100% (380W-1200W).

If you're looking to build that real 'mean' machine, then this is the power supply for you. At a little over 1200watts of raw power Cross Fire and SLI configurations is no problem. Read more
