This is an above medium quality product for sure. The material used -solid aluminium frame and quality plastic- are giving a flair of premium to the M60. The mouse sides have a rough texture while the top is smooth and soft. The weighting system might not be fancy but it does an adequate job if you want to fiddle with balance and weight. The Teflon legs are great and the mouse glides exceptionally both on cloth and hard surfaces. As a minor complaint I would like to see extra Teflon stickers in the packaging. Mouse design is ideal for Claw, good for fingertip (slightly difficult on reaching the sniper and forward buttons) and average on palm grips.

The only think that can set you back from buying this product is the accompanied (or not since you have to download it) software. First of all Corsair promotes the use of firmware updater, since it includes the tool with the software download. Then it prompts you to update the firmware in order for the software suite to work (first time ever that I have seen something like that). But its unacceptable to not support USB 3.0 ports FOR THE FIRMWARE UPDATE procedure. If you try to do that, as I did (No USB2.0 on mobo), you are going to have major issues, that if you are not an experienced user are going to escalate to RMA. Overall the mouse configuration software is cumbersome and needs some rethinking. It is like its trying to scare you away, specifically if you are going to use macros.

To sum up, its a great piece of well designed and implemented hardware. Highly recommended but if you are not an experienced user avoid to update firmware alone, nevertheless Corsair got you covered fellow gamer.

corsair make good quality products, this item is nothing less than i would expect from them, i do however have a couple of gripes about this mouse, the palm rest is slightly too smooth which does tend to cause it to move around slightly in the palm of your hand and the ill placed thumb button for precision aiming is too far forwards to make it of any use for many fps games, the rest however is pretty spot on. the aluminium base is nothing more than a gimmick, but it looks the business because of it. over all not perfect, but nice and responsive.

A solid mouse. If you want extra buttons then it's got that too. Honestly, I don't really know what to say about it - I've never had a 'good' mouse before and as this was my first one I could only compare it to a small Genius Traveller which I had to wear a glove when using as it would cause me to sweat buckets, and a Logitech M310 which is an ambidextrous mouse (and also wireless).

The ability to choose DPI was really nice, and it sits good around the 1800-2200 mark @1080p on a 23" screen. The shape of the mouse sits well with my hand (even though I used to have my hand at an angle to the mouse on my M310) and the soft touch and grippy parts feel good. Sometimes I will get a slight sweat buildup, but that's just how my hands are and it's a lot less than with other mice, especially now that my hand's gotten used to it.

Software is a little finnicky and the way profiles work was causing me some issues with either the profile lights not working or the profiles not changing depending on how I had it set up. I could get one or the other, but not both.

That's about it, really. It's a mouse. It does its job, feels good whilst doing it and has extra buttons because buttons are cool. Oh, and they don't get in the way and are fairly easy to hit precisely if you get used to using different parts of your thumb rather than moving the whole thumb around.

I've had this mouse for a few months now, moving from the Cytek Cyborg R.A.T. 3 CYBORG Mouse - Cyborg R.A.T. 3 Gaming Mouse, and I've enjoyed using it, although I've started noticing some problems that really annoy me. So much that I would not buy again.

Ergonomics:
At first use I noticed that you couldn't rest my hand on the mouse completely, if you're going to hold it with a palm grip it wont support your hand on the sides, your hand will drag along your surface slightly (even though there is a textured surface on the side, which was very grippy at first), it isn't made to be palmed, apart from that the only problem with the mouse for claw or fingertip grips is that the "precision" button is really slippy and your thumb will consistently fall off.
After a while the textured sides wear down to just a rough surface and become less effective at holding your thumb and fingers in place, although the rest of the mouse remains solid.

Aesthetics:
The mouse is really sleek and subtle, the aluminium accents that peek out at the front look really good. the LED under the mouse wheel (which you can turn off in software) is really dim, and just picks out the scroll wheel. I find the red glossy sniper button is really distracting and takes away from the overall look of the mouse.

Software:
The software is fine if you just want to customize sensitivity and lift height (I set it to lowest setting and found that worked really well, although you could set it higher if you were using it through a surface? although otherwise it doesn't serve much purpose).
