She'll Kill Anything That's Dead! In the dark of night at a Buddhist temple, a mysterious ritual is performed causing the dead body of a beautiful teenage girl to be brought back to life. This girl is Makina Hoshino, the latest Shikabane Hime (corpse princess), or killer of restless souls. Caught between here and the afterworld, and bound to the monk who reanimated her, Makina can only gain eternal peace by killing 108 fellow zombies before she is murdered all over again.

Young girls who should have passed on are paired with monks to fight undead spirits, contracted to fight until they reach a certain number at which point they believe they will enter heaven.
This is a very good anime but with some fan service, it has a nice dose of mystery with some good comedic moments and plenty of action and would have been a five star Anime if the ending was not left so open.

Includes both acts Shikabane Hime Aka and Kuro, each 13 episodes, 26 overall.

A pretty cool anime centering undead girls who are cursed with eternal reanimation. In order to cross over, they have to earn their way to eternal peace by defeating the evil, demonic Shikabane. These girls are known as Shikabane Hime(Corpse Princesses).

The story is interesting and the action scenes are awesomely animated. While the lead female does get bagged with the cliche revenge plotline, she herself is interesting enough to keep your attention. As for the lead male... He was by far the weakest part of this anime, until the second act, Shikabane Hime (Kuro). As for the first series, we're slowly lead to believe that he isn't exactly normal, with all the monsters and kickass action sequences he is about as appealing as a cucumber next to a slice of cake.

With that said, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it for anyone who wants a good little horror thriller anime. There aren't that many.
