I bought this on the strength of wanting to have a recording of the two piano pieces and it is just wonderful, the elegaic pieces are deeply moving and the funny songs are delightful.

A Nightmare Before Christmas version 2 8 Sep 2005

Format:Audio CD

Elfman has very much returned to the song writing style he used on A Nightmare Before Christmas with Corpse Bride's songs, and on one track - Tears to Shreds - matches it so closely it's hard to tell them apart.

However, as a huge fan of Elfman's work on Nightmare and his other Burton projects I can forgive a little familiarity to be allowed to return to his magical world once more.

Recommended, but don't expect any new ground to be broken.

I really loved the music in the film and it was great to get them on the soundtrack. Really well written by Tim Burton and performed brilliantly by the cast.
