4.0 out of 5 stars Good textbook for beginners, 27 Mar 2005
A very good corporate financial textbook for beginners, in which readers can find a lot cases and examples help them understand the theories. However, the explanation in some sectors are not as clear as a textbook should be.

3.0 out of 5 stars CLEAR CONCISE EXCELLENT FOR THE BEGINNER IN FINANCE, 4 Jun 1999
By A Customer
SETS OUT THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF FINANCE IN A CLEAR AND CONCISE MANNER AND THE CHAPTERS COVERED ALLOW THE READY TO BUILD HIS OR HER KNOWLEDGE OF FINANCE ALMOST FROM SCRATCH . IT ALSO PROVIDES GOOD REFERENCES TO OTHER MORE ADVANCED MATIERALS . IT IS SOMEWHAT LACKING THOUGH IN ACTUAL STUDY QUESTIONS. ALL IN ALL FOR THE BEGINNER FINANCIER A GOOD BUY.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book, 11 April 2007
By Ramesh Valapil (Wolverhampton, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Corporate Financial Management by Glen Arnold is a very good book to learn and understand the essentials of business finance. It covers from `basic to in-depth detail' of topics, so that students can build and develop their understandings on the subject from the scratch. Although it seems a thick book, it explains all the concepts with confidence with lots of worked examples and case studies. The format of the book is very good as you would see a lot colourfully highlighted real life FT articles with important concepts are summarised at the end of the each chapter for review. Undoubtedly, this book is a valuable tool for an MBA student, who wishes to understand the UK perspective of corporate management.
