Reviews

An hilarious new feature length film from the Nation’s favourite soap Coronation Street. Curly Watts and Reg Holdsworth, two of Britain’s most enduring comedy soap characters, are being reunited in a special, A Knight’s Tale. They are joined by Norris Cole, Mary Taylor, Rosie Webster and Jason Grimshaw in a comedy of errors set at a medieval weekend. Curly, now a high flying businessman with a chain of hotels under his Armani belt, is giving Reg a chance to prove himself by hosting a medieval banquet weekend at Tatlock Towers. Things get off to a rocky start when Reg hires Rosie Webster as a serving wench under false pretences and sets his sights on Mary Taylor, despite her attachment to poor Norris. A Knights Tale also stars Brian Capron in a cameo as a ‘Dickie the boatman’ and Jeremy Edwards (Holby City, Dancing on Ice) as plastic surgeon Uri.

As i am a massive corrie fan I was keen to get this for the 50th anniversary and i have to say it is so funny and very well written. Great cast with cool behind the scenes features. Hilarious plot too. A must have for any corrie fan's dvd collection! 10/10

Had to buy with being Corrie fans! Was a good spin off show and quite funny at times. The characters were their usual comical almost selves and then was the return of some such as Curly Watts and such like which was good also. If a Corrie fan then worth getting to sit and watch sometime. :o)

I bought this from the Pound Shop, together with the Emmerdale For Richer For Poorer. This is far more entertaining and funny. Worth even two pounds I'd say! The story brings back Curly and Reg together with current characters.

Any corrie fan would just love this. It's really nice to see some of the old guys back again and the friendship between Mad Mary and Norris is just sooooo funny. Well worth the 2 quid :)

I love the Corrie spin offs so couldn't wait to watch this one. It was a bit of a disapointment! Although I liked Reg Holdsworth and Curly Watts when they were on the Street they have been off it for too long to be really counted as Corrie characters. The plot line was very thin and was more like a failed carry on film than an interesting side line to the weekly show. Sorry Corrie - not one of your best!

Its a spin off but a poor story - even worse than the last one - I really dont see the point in it and it has just cheapened the quality that is Corrie!
