The idea behind this software package is good: make it simple and easy for a neophyte at video editing to create a reasonable looking movie file from his camera clips. Unfortunately, this software is beset with multiple problems:
1. Camera import is ok, but is quite slow. This may have more to do with USB speeds than the software, but it was still annoying.
2. After import was done, it still took over ten minutes for the main screen to display the thumbnails of the first frame of each video clip.
3. Editing of individual clips is quite limited. You only have six lighting choices, and only four levels of adjustments to brightness, noise reduction, and camera shake. This may not be too bad for the expressed purpose of this software (keep it simple!), but it has a major flaw: after making any edit to your clip, you can no longer do a preview play without it skipping long sections, displaying one frame, and then skipping again. Clearly what this software is doing is only modifying the currently displayed frame when the edit is applied, not the entire clip, and then is trying to apply the edit to the rest of the frames in real time when you try and preview it. As this is a very CPU intensive task, the result is the processor/display system becomes overloaded, leading to the choppy output. Thus the only way you can really see what effect the edit has on the entire clip is to go through the entire process of creating a `finished' movie file of the clip, which is very slow, and then loading the new file for playback. Perhaps this effect would not be present on a much higher-end machine, but the people who have such computers are not typically the same people who need very simple video editing capabilities.
4. The process of creating an entire movie composed of multiple clips is intuitive and well laid out, allowing the user to add titles, voice-overs, and transitions (though you're only allowed one type of transition for the entire movie, and one volume level for added audio tracks). However, once more the extreme sluggishness of this software shows up (and I'm running a 64 bit quad core 2.6 Ghz with 4 Gig of ram - quite a bit more than the supposed required hardware). In general, it took ten times the length of the clips to create the finished product in near-HD format, and 20x in HD format. In addition, it has a major bug in the creation of near-HD .wmv files - if you have more than one clip as input to the movie creation, even though there have been zero edits, additions, and set for no transition effects, the software either locks up at the end of the first clip or completely crashes. It will complete the task if the input is only a single clip, but as the point of this software is to create a full movie from multiple clips, I have to consider this a major and unacceptable failing.
5. If you take two .wmv near-HD clips and try to combine them, outputting in the identical format and with no edits or transitions, so that the only changes the software needs to do is combine the two clips at the join point (which does mean adjusting the headers and pointers of the files, but this is trivial to trying to change from one video format to another), the software still takes just as long to do the task as if it was converting the formats - i.e, 20 minutes for 2 minutes of video clip. I think this is also unacceptable - such a process should complete much faster, and may be the major type of movie creation the unsophisticated user this software is aimed at would do.
While the concept for this is good, and the price tag is reasonable for what is supposed to be able to do, the limitations and bugs present in this software make it near-impossible to use, not the experience a novice videophile would want.

Mea culpa I suppose, in that I didn't read the spec. I expected a movie editing programme whereas this is nothing of the sort.
So, make sure you are aware of it's limitations.

Created 1 DVD, it will play on the computer, but when I tried to play it in my DVD player disc was not recognised so could not be played therefore fairly disappointed

Unless you have a top spec machine this software is going to use up all your resources and crawl to a halt.

Didn't do what I expected - I am now using a different product and...
I wasn't happy with the way this program worked so I removed it and I am now using a different product (I just couldn't get into the way the software operated, so sorry not for me)
