Subject: Your Amazon.co.uk Inquiry From: info@amazon.co.uk Subject: Your Amazon.co.uk Inquiry From: info@amazon.co.uk *****
DON'T buy this book if you hold any of the following beliefs:
You can't influence your own feelings and state.
You can't imagine, visualise, or have self-talk.
Physical symptoms only have physical causes
I haven't had a 'core state' experience, therefore it doesn't exist.
However....
I originally remember going through Core Transformation on a self development workshop (NLP Practitioner) and thinking: 'yeah, it's 'ok'...,watching other participants going through the process and seeing the deepshift marked by body language as they reached a core state - which was aprivilege to witness.
Only recently did I purchase this book and remembered that we only covered the first five steps (of ten) of the process on the course! I ran the full process and was astounded with the results; the extra five steps were essential in my particular instance. I cannot adequately describe mystate of mind in just words alone - no wonder people use words such as'spiritual'!
I think this book works best for those people who already have some degree of awareness of their own internal structure of thoughts, feelings and emotions. They will find it easier to follow the instructions given, withmore precision and more consistent results. Having a knowledgeable and understanding partner or coach to help would improve the results still further.
On illness, the authors ethically and explicitly state (p. 188): " The Core Transformation process is not a substitute for seeking medical adviceand treatment. If you have a major illness, you will probably want toutilise all the medical resources available to you. We encourage you to seek medical advice..."
This started out as a project of personal development strategies by the authors which led them: '...far beyond their original goals...' (p. x),
This is an excellent 'how to' book (in the reviewer's opinion) and it's astonishing to realise and discover, that the things we do to protect ourselves are in fact, the very keys to our liberation.

NLP on steroids 27 April 2011
By L. Power TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
The most powerful processes in nlp include parts integration, and if you train with certain trainers you also learn Time Line Techniques, and Timeline Therapy (TM) techniques. When you learn about the hierarchy of ideas, you know that certain types of questions rewire your brain.

In parts integration, chunking up questions open up abstract or big picture thinking, and resolve inner conflict. Chunking down helps you to problem solve, and get more specific. Lateral chunking opens up choices within a category. For example, if you want to buy a luxury car, and you want to consider options other than a Merecedes, you might ask (LC)'what other types of luxury car would I buy?' If you (CU)ask yourself what will having this car get me that's more important? The answer moves you through a different level of consciousness, which if you're like me could be status, comfort, luxury, freedom, peace etc. Einstein said: 'A problem cannot be solved from the same level of consciousness in which it was created.'

So, if you take some of these techniques, combine them, add a splash of genius and intuition, as Connirae Andreas has done, you have an extremely powerful and effective tool of transformation, and it's also easy to use. It's more than Timeline techniques, it's more than parts integration as you may know it. It's parts integration on steroids.

CT moves an undesired behavior, limitation or internal conflict up through your values hierarchy, and enables you to access more abstract levels of consciousness, until you access your 'core' value. When you reach the core value, you may have some interesting and trance forming experiences.

As the author advises, I used this on a minor behavior first...eating when I'm not hungry, and applied the state changing question, I went through a few layers such as feeling satisfied, and 'already feeling satisfied, what would that enable you to get that's even more important,... eventually I arrived at inner peace, and my core value of 'Oneness or Unity.' When I reached the core state I intuitively asked what would transform that even more, the answer for me was 'divine light.' Since then I have been able to ..catch myself in the act, and not eat when i am not hungry.

Having read as little as 50 pages you can run a five step version of CT, without the Timeline technique. What enhances this more is using the core value to further transform the limitations, which makes the results even more spectacular. As you get further into the book you can add on more sophisticated techniques such as Parental Timeline reimprinting, dealing with conflicts between parts, growing up a part, and so on, which make for some intriguing and exciting experiences.

If you're not familiar with nlp, this book is written for everybody, and is totally jargon free. My recommendation if you don't get an answer to your question, keep asking, it's like a hammer and chisel, sometimes it takes several hits to make a breakthrough.

It's easy to imagine its huge potential for psychologists, nlp trainers, life coaches, gurus, and anyone who wants to make a change, and I plan on using it extensively from now on. I note that there are Core Transformation coaches all over the world, and it's a mystery that it's not more popular given how powerful this technique really is. This would most definitely be my desert island read. I hope you found this review helpfu, and, if you do, please click yes.

The Core Transformation technique described in this book is extremely effective, simple, and not only painless, but as you experience the Core States, it is actually profoundly pleasurable.
When reading this book, do remember that "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch". You need to actually do the exercises in the book. If you try to read it on a purely intellectual level, it will seem too detailed and repetitive. If you have even one experience with just the first part of the process, and you see the way it works, the details and real-life examples that this book provides are a gold-mine.
After my first couple uses of this process, steps six through ten seemed superfluous - the results of the first part were so dramatic, that I couldn't imagine any way to improve on it. These later steps are, however, a real added bonus in terms of long-term integration and incorporation of the change process.
I don't think I'm that unusual of a person, and I don't understand how this book can have been in print for three years, and not be more popular.
I've read dozens of self-help books, and spent hours in both individual and group therapy, but have never made as much significant progress in as short a time as I have in the first three or four times I've used the Core Transformation technique.
Some people believe that the cure for cancer has been discovered, but is being hidden, so that researchers can continue to collect billions of dollars in research funds. Could the same thing be happening among psychotherapists ? Has Andreas discovered the cure for neurosis, but it's being suppressed by the professional establishment so that they can continue to collect billions of dollars for therapy ?
I don't know why this book has not been acclaimed as the monumental psychological breakthrough that it obviously is, but I do know that it's the best self-help book I've ever read.

I highly recommend this book, and suggest that you get yourself a copy - while you still can !
