This book was billed as being something that would be of use for those who had experience of C++ or Visual Basic. I don't have much of either! Nevertheless, this book really is a superb introduction to Java. The examples given are actually useful (unusual for a 'beginners guide') and the style of the book is light-hearted but not flippant. Brilliant!!

This is a good java book and the best java book I have seen so far. If you take time to digest the material inside this book, it will help you understand Java a lot. So you know what you should do.
