Puerto Rican composer and guitarist Ernesto Cordero dedicated his Concierto Festivo to celebrated soloist Pepe Romero, who describes the work as having divine inspiration. These works derive their warmth of expression and rhythmic influence from the composers native Caribbean island, and the two violin concertos nsula and Concerto Tropical both contain descriptive elements from landscape and nature. nsula is dedicated to renowned violinist and conductor Guillermo Figueroa, and I Solisti di Zagreb are recognised as one of the worlds leading chamber orchestras.

Format:Audio CD
Throw in two world-class soloists, a world-class chamber orchestra, and a darn good recording, all for a relatively low price, and you get a genuine musical bargain. However, I'm not convinced any of the three concertos on the disc will attain absolute "classic" status anytime soon or become a part of the basic classical repertoire.
