I am a long standing fan of the Corby Trouser Press and this one presses trousers like the others do. So that's a good thing but only what one would expect. What is disappointing is that some cost cutting accountant has persuaded the production team to remove the pull-out tie holder from this upmarket model. My basic version it replaced proudly sported this short length of thick wire with a plastic knob on the end but its seems that the Marketing analysts at Corby have assessed that people who are still fussy enough about their appearance to press their trousers no longer want to wear ties. I guess that is what comes from a modern university education. Faced with overwhelming opposition to continuing with the tie holder at the cost of 11p per unit the production team no doubt had to acquiesce.
