Format:Blu-ray
I got this film to try out the 3d effect on my new tv and blu ray setup, plus it had interested me as a kind of offbeat tale that might be of interest. After a slow start it just got better and better. Firstly its a good story and worth seeing in its own right, but the 3d effect is amazing. The quality and creativity of the animated effects had me thinking that this was directed very much with 3d in mind and that you would be missing something considerable if you only watched it 'flat'. I had a friend over who came just to have a quick look at the tv. We put this movie on just to see what the 3d looked like.....and were entranced, ended up watching the whole thing right through. My friend left the house vowing to invest in a similar set up as she was 'gob smacked' by the visuals. As for content, it gets more scary/creepy as the film goes on; ok for most kids as they like being a bit scared but could be upsetting if the kids are too young, hence the pg rating. But for something too show of your 3d kit and entertaining as well, this is a cracker.

Well I was a little apprehensive about seeing this film when it first came out .. I had kinda lost interest in stop motion movies. But when I bought a 3D TV and material was drying up, I decided to plump for this after reading rave reviews. Well I am glad I did! Do you like the feeling when you find a hidden gem of a movie that has slipped you by and suddenly you think to yourself "how on earth did I miss this in the first place!"
Anyway, I won't bore you with the story, but the direction, script and of course the animation is first class! It is one of those movies that leaves a warm feeling inside.
Now onto the 3D ... well I have read reviews that state that the image is really flat .. well it is far from it! It could be the other reviewers equipment, cos the depth and separation is perfect from the outset. It does however come to life when Coraline goes through the little door into the other world. Image when you first saw Wizard of Oz and it turned from b/w to colour. Well this is the same with the 3D ... the depth is incredible in the other world with some lovely pop out moments. Don't be put off by thinking that the 3D only works for part of the movie, cos it is just not true. You get a different feeling of depth in the other world.
This is a must buy for, not just for families but for adults as well.

It was the best 3d bluray of all i have watched by now.i watched it on my Acer H5360BD projector.

THERE ARE MORE AND MORE NEW 3D FILMS COMEING OUT, WE ADDED THIS TO OUR COLLECTION, JUST GOOD CLEAN FUN FILM. WELL WORTH ADDING TO A COLLECTION.

Good but
Starts off really well, Good 3D and animation. But seems to lose its way in the middle then picks up again. But still worth a purchase at this price.
