There is no such thing as a "rule" when it comes to writing a terrific ad (as if I would know). But I guess it can't hurt to read what the greatest ad writers of our time (ok, maybe a little before our time, but as they say "the more things change the more they stay the same") have to say about their work and little tricks that can really make the difference. Remember thougt that there is only one place where "success" comes before "work", and that the dictionary.
