Book Description

23 Jun 2013
Two of LAPD’s finest, Officer Jeff Chandler and his partner Mickey Stanton, have been together on duty for three years. When Mickey first met Jeff, a lateral transfer from Rain City- Seattle, he was crazy about him. When the men were assigned to a two-man patrol car, Jeff and Mickey’s attraction blossomed. And from then on, it was playtime! On the street, Jeff and Mickey were tough and fearless, doing their job to protect and serve, but the testosterone charged pair were wild and out of control with their passion for each other. They loved doing risqué acts on duty and craved the adrenalin rush, until Jeff becomes burned out with patrol. His ambition is to rise up in the ranks. Soon the two men are at odds with what direction their careers should take, and Mickey resents Jeff for wanting to split up their team. As friction begins to develop between them, they still have to continue battling the crime on LA’s streets. Between the raging fury and the sexual heat of their relationship, there is true love, and that love is put to the ultimate test, nearly ending in tragedy. ‘Top Men’- Mickey and Jeff- The police officers you grew to love from GA’s Action! and Hero Series, back again to give fans a wild ride into the darkest secrets and desires of COPS.

5.0 out of 5 stars Desire,Dirty Sex, Mental & Physical Discomfort, Danger, and Devistation 25 Jun 2013

GA Hauser, the queen of the M/M erotic romance genre has produced, in this book, her crown jewel. Having been a patrol officer for several years, she truly knows how to get the reader to see and understand what it feels like to go through 12 hour shifts in a patrol car, in the intense heat of LA summers while wearing Kevlar vests, facing an endless amount of incidents that are often dangerous or grim. Officers Mickey Stanton and Jeff Chandler, who were first introduced into GA's alternate universe in Top Men, have been lovers for three years sharing the same patrol car and home. They remain deeply in love with and horney for each other, having frequent rough sex both at home and in their patrol car. Of course, they both know that they will always have each other's back. Unfortunately Jeff has become burned out from the job which is only made bareable by their sexual antics. He decides to look into taking the sergeants exam, even though if he succeeds to become a sergeant it would separate him from Mickey at work. Worse yet, he gets the paperwork for the exam and the requirement for it without first discussing it with Mickey. When Mickey does discover what Jeff is contemplating, he goes ballistic. Even through the intervention of their friends, Blake and Hunter, the firemen introduced in the book Two In Two Out, the lifeguards, Josh and Hunter from Man to Man and Alex and Billy from numerous previous books, Mickey's anger is only partially subdued. To make matters worse, Jeff has been asked to temporarily substitute for their Sergeant for one day to get the feel of the job and that leaves Mickey on patrol by himself. The events of that day are nearly as tragic as they both had feared. This incredible book covers both a genuine look at what patrol officers encounter daily, many super hot sex scenes, and a beautiful love story. Buy this book, make sure you have plenty of adrenaline in your system and enjoy a plot that could drain you like a police chase. It is not to be missed.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's Ok, but not the greatest. 13 Nov 2013

I like stories that have sexual situations in the plot. However, the scenes in this book seem to be contrived. The violent nature of some of the encounters also failed to keep my interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Read!!!! 8 July 2013

G A Hauser is my favorite M/M romance author!! She is on my must buy list. I love the universe that she has created and all the men that are bonded in a six degrees of separation type of thing. You met Micky and Jeff in Top Men but they are throughout her books in many cameos. Cops is right off the shirt tails of her last book Making Love (Action series). As usual you are treated to other characters in her universe..the Hero Series men (Josh, Tanner, Blake and Hunter) as well as Billy, Alex and of course the great Mark Richfield with his crew (Steve, Jack and Adam). I highly recommend this book as well as all the others. But be warned since I always get in trouble if I don't say this but if you don't like man on man sex and a lot of it well you have never read a G A Hauser book. Another great book!!!! Loved it!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sex and action - a fast-paced and enjoyable story! 2 July 2013
By Because Two Men Are Better Than One! (Nic Starr) - Published on

I first read about police officers Mickey and Jeff in Top Men, the third book of the Heroes series. I enjoyed that book but at the time made note that it was "Quite a good read but, dare I say it, maybe too much sex?! These guys are insatiable and like it violent and often!"

After three years together, these guys still like it rough and often. The police car is a favourite place for quickly getting each other off. But although it does have a lot of sex, this story focuses very much on the deep love Mickey and Jeff feel for one another.

They live together and work together, spending each day side-by-side in the squad car. They are able to watch over and protect one another. When it looks like their careers may be taking them in opposite directions and potentially splitting them up, things come to a head.

With sex, police action, shootings and a happy ending this was a fast paced and enjoyable read.

If you haven't read the Heroes series yet, I can recommended the first book Man To Man which is about lifeguards. I am now going to start on the Action series (there are overlapping characters between the series).
