Great book about PE, 28 Nov 2008
By Petr Vorel - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Coping with Premature Ejaculation: How to Overcome PE, Please Your Partner, and Have Great Sex (Paperback)
The most amazing thing about this book is it's approach to the matter of premature ejaculation. It gives you an answer for all your questions. It means that you'll get to know which type of PE you have and how you have obtained it. Then it gives you the procedure how to cure it. This is particulary good in the way that you know which circumstences caused your PE, which aspects of your life you have to concentrate on and which to change. When you know these facts you'll get more comfortable and self-confident because it gives you the impression that PE is something that is cureable.
I have already read several books on this matter. Like the book by Barbara Keesling, then the 'Multi-Orgasmic Man', 'Multi-orgasmic couple', books by Margot Anand and her DVD, 'Tantra' by Andre Lysebeth, 'Tantra & Tao' by Gilly Smith, 'A Chakra & Kundalini Workbook' by Jonn Mummford and another book about Kundalini which I don't remember the author's name. These Tantra books are nice and they bring something new to your thinking about sex and relationship, but the techniques won't help unless you believe absolutely in energy and it's flow. For some it's not so easy to imagine.
Another thing is the use of the Pubococcygeal Muscle described in almost all of these books including this one. In the Tantric books you are instructed how it is important to squeeze it before the point of no return and how to imagine the flow of the energy and the importance of pumping it to your head and who knows where else. 'Coping with Premature Ejaculation' teaches you how to relax it and your whole body(however, this depends on the type of PE you have) which is far more important because eventually you'll get relaxed during intercourse being completely aware of your feelings and your partner what you would not achieve with the Tantric books (at least, I wasn't able to) because you would be distracted by your imagination.
I can only recommend you this books. It works for me, although I haven't finished reading it, and as for now I do the individual exercises, but I have already noticed progress and that just after few weeks of reading. I haven't noticed such change even after I have completely read the Tantric books mentioned above.

I am a sex therapist and sex educator, teaching at a large graduate school in the midwest. I use this book as a required text in my 'Treatment Strategies for Sexual Dysfunction' class. It is not only an excellent self-help book, it teaches clinicians how to think about and treat sexual difficulties. Barry McCarthy and Michael Metz are simply the best at what they do. I recommend this book to clients, students, and colleagues.
Bravo to two excellent sex therapists!
