This is a really good guide to neuropathy, and covers a lot in a short space - no heavy books to hold up for ages!

It really helps that it is written by a sufferer who is also medically qualified, so doesnt feel at all like preaching.

The author has a severe case of periferal neuropathy. If you are not affected in the same degree, this book will not really help you. The author seems depressed and has good reason to be. He stresses that you should stop hoping for a cure and try to find a way to live with the pain and other symptoms. This is not really a book that will help suffurors cope, that will help them to focus on the many good things in their lives, that has not been taken away by their illness. I was also hoping for a book to show others interested in understanding this strange disease, but the book is only relevant if you are as gravely affected as the author, the book does not cover the many other forms and degrees this illnes can have. I feel sorry for the author, and I hope I will never be as affected as he is, but I cannot recommend this book, if you are looking for help. Its outlook is too bleak.
