The story of Mike Di Sanza is one of faith, determination and courage, as well as revealing the truth behind life in the city of New York.
His life on the NYPD was not easy by any means, but he found a way to cope with it by finding a real Christian faith which changed his whole life.
This is about real people and real situations that would make most people run for cover. He did not, and it is only his faith which allowed him to cope with the terrifying pressure of policing daily life on the New York streets at night, amidst muggers, gangs of thugs and ordinary sad hurting people.
As a sensitive man it hurt him to see all the sadness in their lives. But by bringing thousands of them to faith he was able to touch many lives in a real and lasting way. He gave them a hope which many of them had never had before.
Whether you are a Christian or not read this amazing story. I guarantee it will not leave you unmoved...

I've just read "A Cop for Christ" by Mike DiSanza. Its absolutely brilliant. Mike worked nights in the worst parts of New York in the 70's and 80's. In the book he shares his testimony, how he brought many to a new faith in Jesus and how God miraculously protected him in some very dangerous situations. Very encouraging and very readable...

This book is probably one of the few autobiographies I've read, I like books with grit and realism and this book had it all. It is written by Mike DiSanza as he looks at his life as a cop working for the NYPD in the Bronx area of New York, how he narrowly escaped becomin part of gang culture at an early age and how God's promises were revealed to Mike in his work. It is an incredable book, which is written by a guy with an obvious heart to serve Christ in whatever way is required and how that doesn't always mean it is easy but God always looks after us and protects us.
