I cant resist starting my review by saying that "THIS PIECE OF GADGET IS JUST FREAKING AWESOME!!" I have been using it for atleast 3 months now and finally decided to comment on it.
Let me start off by saying that I have an Asus G74sx...this laptop consists of a 17.3 inch monitor but a 19 inch body (sorry if it doesn't make sense...only its owners will understand what um saying) and is 6/7 times the weight of an apple mac book pro (maybe not that much...sorry if I exaggerated) and I owned 3 other coolers as well and this one is the best for a number of reasons.
You can literally place the three fans anywhere u like on the cooler according to ur laptop's needs.
These fans are silently mighty...lol...what I mean is there r 3 cooling fans n u can barely hear them even when they are on full power.
There is a speed control...I mean u can control the speed of ur fans.
U wont loose a USB port on ur laptop...cuz the cable which connects this cooler to the laptop has an external USB built with it.
This cooler has rubber mats attached to it which confirms that the laptop stays in place.
This is built of aluminium which works as a better cooler by evenly dissipating heat out.
That's not it!!! It even allows to fit ur laptop underneath and carry it around safely...an elastic band is also provided in order for an extra security!!! How cool is that!!!! :D

This cooler is perfect.
My Acer Aspire 7720G had recently developed serious overheating problems and would shut off after roughly 15 minutes of use.
I searched endlessly for a cooler that was powerful enough to keep this "rig" cool and at the same time, be a 17".
This cooler does all of the above, and although the laptop still shuts off, I believe this is a issue with the heatsink, I can see the potential this cooler will have once I've sorted the internal problem.
