Was initially worried about it's size, but it did fit nicely (my case is 24.2 cm in width). Although, it does take up a lot of space inside the case. I use it to cool AMD FX8320, so compared to the stock cooler it's very effective. When idle the temperature is around 33 degrees, when gaming it might increase up to and around 50. Also, it's pretty quiet, which I was very happy with.

The reason I got his was to replace my stock Intel cooler since it was giving me unnecessary high temperatures. Since I have installed this my idle temp are now around 25°c to 30°c. My case is the corsair spec 01 and I can confirm it will fit in this case. You just need to worry about the motherboard heatsinks interfering with the installation.

Brilliant cooler! My FX-6300 now runs 14 degrees C cooler under load; I even overclocked it slightly (it was actually 20 degrees cooler before I fiddled!). The primary reason for purchase was the ridiculous noise of the stock cooler. Now, it's pleasantly quiet, with no perceptible difference in volume when the fan is running faster.

I was going to get the Evo 212, but dicided to get this instead as it's easier to install on an AMD chip. There's no need to change the backplate on the motherboard, it just clips onto the stock AMD cooler bracket. The one proviso would be that it may not fit if your RAM has cooling fins and is taller than standard. Unlike the Evo 212, this cooler can only be installed horizontally, so it overhangs the first couple of ram slots.

I saw the Coolermaster Hyper T4 on HotUKDeals for £17.50 and leaped on it. Due to another reviewer's advice, I always intended to get a CM Hyper and attach two fans (in a push/pull configuration) for extra cooling potential.

I grabbed a cheap (£5) CM fan to go along with this, which I was able to fit immediately as the Hyper T4 comes with a spare set of attachments so you can attach another regular 120mm case fan.

Fitting was a tight squeeze! The 'height' from the motherboard was no problem and my RAM is suitably low profile with no pointless heat spreaders, but it was still tricky clipping-in to the bracket near the motherboard's heatsink (Asus Z87-A).

Fitting itself is relatively straightforward, although steady hands and a fair bit of space is required. If at all possible (and especially if you have a small case) fitting the cooler to the mobo outside of the case is recommended.

The fitting instructions are relatively clear, which is good as I wasn't able to find an instruction video for this model, only the Hyper 212 which is very different in terms of how it attaches.

Once fitted, my intended purpose was overclocking and I'm pleased to report it works perfectly.

I overclocked my (3.4Ghz at stock) Intel i5 4670K CPU to 4.2Ghz and during full load in [stress testing software] Prime95 the highest temp I've recorded is 56°c (it's about 24° idle) so a huge success for about £22.50 total spend. By comparison, overclocked and using the stock fan the temps hit up to a whopping 90°c before I quickly stopped the stress test. Even at stock and idle, the CPU temp was generally 35 - 40°c

This is a quality, well-packaged product that comes with lots of fittings and at a very cheap price.

I got this cooler to go into my new build, it is cooling a i7-5280k, at idle the temperatures are around 28-35 degrees and under full load (rendering) I did not see the temperatures go above 39 degrees Celsius

As always with a exelent product there are some downsides and with this cooler it is the fans, I have this cooler in the front of a fractal design define r5 and the airflow is pretty restricted, using the stock fans it sounded like a hairdryer so I got some Noctua fans to replace them.

In conclusion:
Pros.
Everything but the fans are exelent
Cons.
The fans

For such a cheap aftermarket cooler, I was glad to have it!! I use it with my home server I have (a 4960X at stock speeds) and it runs very cool, it's very quiet and it serves its purpose brilliantly! I'm not sure it would handle much of an overclock with the 4960X but I'm sure with a 3820/4820 or something like that, it would be fine with a small ish overclock..
I would definitely recommend it over the standard stock cooler, quieter and probably a fair bit cooler as well but I would make sure it fits your case, it's not the shortest of coolers, so just be aware :)

I ordered the Hyper T4 to replace my stock AMD cooler, as it got extremely loud when playing some demanding games, such as the Witcher 3; the fan was sometimes so loud that it could be heard downstairs. When I upgraded to the Hyper T4 I could barely hear it at all, at any time. This cooler also gave me the ability to overclock my processor all the way up to 4.4GHz, with a turbo speed of 4.7GHz, which made me very happy. The installation was also very easy. I couldn't ask for more at this price. Overall, I can't recommend this cooler enough.

I received this item a month ago, I opened it, read the installation guide but it wasn't in details for AM3+ so I had to unscrew bit of the CPU holder to fit my heat sink. The heat sink is big and blocked two of my memory slots, if you're purchasing this heat sink first make sure it would fit onto the motherboard and case. Nevertheless this item surely handles the job very well my CPU temperature is from 12-26
