Jonathan Knight is a travel writer and photographer. He has co-authored numerous books including Lonely Planet France, The Rough Guide to Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei and The Rough Guide to Southeast Asia. A serial traveller by nature, he has camped everywhere from the peaceful Australian outback to, accidentally, the war zone of ex-Yugoslavia. His most memorable camping experience was sharing a yurt with a nomadic Uigur family in far northwest China. He now lives in London from where he has belatedly started exploring his native country.
