More About the Author

Caroline Mills is an experienced travel writer who spends much of her time touring and visiting destinations in the UK and mainland Europe. She can often be found, walking boots on, striding or sauntering (depending on the time available) along the footpaths of Britain, looking for an astonishing view or exploring a forgotten village. At other times Caroline is searching out the very best campsites or sampling the delights of a street cafe, in between discovering the vitality of a particular city. That said, while she loves to visit 'other' places, she likes nothing better than to return to the farm where she lives on the fringes of the Cotswolds.

Caroline also contributes to various national magazines on travel, food and gardens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Caravanning 27 Jun 2010
By Morgan
What a great book!
This is the first site review book that selects sites for the correct reasons.
Rather then rating sites by the number of amenities, sites are selected for personal reasons, like the view, the location, and that "get away from it feeling" that caravanning is all about.
Hope the author follows up with sites in France

5.0 out of 5 stars great selection 25 Sep 2010
As more people holiday in Britain, this book fills a gap for caravanners looking for good sites. Caroline has chosen 54 sites highlighted with complete information to visit and stay plus those little extras that make your stay more pleasant. There are ideas for nearby attractions and places to eat and drink. The sites are beautifully photographed. I like the cool for... pages which classify the sites as best for landscape, beach, grown-ups etc. Includes caravan club, holiday park and farm sites. If you love touring, this is a personal choice of sites that is worth getting to know.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 4 Aug 2011
Bought as end of term teacher present, as she had just bought a caravan, and based in the fact we have 2 Cool Camping books. She thought it excellent, and it showed different sights to the usual books. As with the other 'Cool' series, lovely layout and photography

5.0 out of 5 stars cool caravanning 21 July 2011
I 100% recommend this book, it's a must for someone like us new to camping, (in our case micro motorhoming.)
Already booked a cracking site for September, our first venture. Well done Caroline Mills, how about a similar book on Scotland.

P.S. Just ordered a copy for my Daughter and her Husband.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool Caravaning 24 Jun 2011
This book is a really good concept and gives a great deal of useful information for campers who only need a campsite to stay over in and see the sights around.

Its a little dissapointing that it stops at Northumberlan missing out the glorious Scotland.
