This book contains 16 recipes, varying from biscuits, fairy cakes, scones, meringues and sandwiches. Sandwiches? Well yes. But there is a good idea here - about using shape cutters to make pretty shape sandwiches - which my daughter loved doing! She was enormously proud of her shaped sandwiches, and was able to do them without help.
We've also made the confetti biscuits, which have turned out really well, and the fairy cakes, which she really enjoys making.
I think what I like most about this book though, is that it is written in such a way that is appealing to younger children, but is still usable, and there for developing cooks who are a bit older. There are reminders to put oven gloves on, which is useful for children who are starting to cook on their own, and going back to recipes they made with Mum when younger.
I'd recommend this book, because it has a good shelf life. It's the type of cookery book for a younger girl, which will last her (as it has mine) for many years.
