Lacking detail, but otherwise okay
on 19 April 2014
This is a really good book, don't get me wrong, it inspired my kids to start cooking. But the lunch section of the book only has the bare minimum of whats required and it is the same for quite a bit of the rest of it.
e.g. 'Ploughmans lunch'
Method: (and I quote) Arrange on a plate and serve
And the tomato tart's picture is very misleading-it has cheese on it but at no point in the method or ingredients list does it mention cheese.
But some recipes are great-the lemon souffle thing is to die for, and the french onion soup is great too.
I would say that overall, it's a good book, but it lacks detail, and can sometimes be misleading.
