I thought I could resist but inheriting an old Aga I do more baking so I invested and it has been worth it. This six piece set contains:
4 x circle pieces a 6/7/8/and 9 inch (or metric 150/175/200 and 225mm)
1 x 13 inch square (330 mm square)
1 x 39 inch (1000mm/1 metre) long piece that is 41/4 inches or 11 cm high for tin's walls - it would not go around the square but its a heck of a piece and the square can be completed by an off cut from a differing roll/product from Bake O-G
This long bit is ideal for springform tins as you wrap it around a bit more, if you use non stick tin, it is a bit fiddly to get the piece to stand up straight while you pop in mixture - as its too tall to peg (maybe a dolly) but a tiny bit of mix sort of helps. The height is great for big risers and is easily takeoff able, wipeable or washable in sink very easily (its like a huge piece of seaweed in dishwasher so forget it as it flops over the basket and clogs the outlet) anyway a wash and dry is quicker, easier and done well before the dishwasher... just make sure its dry before you put it away - damp B-O-G not hygienic. But a pice of kitchen roll sorts that out.
This set would not provide a circle to cover the simmering plate on a traditional or a Total Control (larger) Aga - cut that from the big roll available from Bake O Glide or by the specialist cut circle from an Aga Shop, if preferred but it is ££.
Easy to use, multi size and resistance was futile, its gets used a great deal, a good quality product and worth the investment, little chance of price drop by shopping about but cheaper than Aga Shop or specialist cook shop so calculate your cost v postage v shop and petrol and choose your supplier. Amazon reliable if you live away from cook shop etc
