Fantastic book 28 Oct 2010
Format:Hardcover
After a horrible scare I brought lots of 'healthy heart' type cook books, this being the best so far. Reasonably priced, good pictures, fantastic recipes. My partner was scared we would be eating things like pea soup and celery all the time but this book allows us to eat the things we like with just a few simple changes that do not hinder the taste. Even my 11 year old is happy! Would recommend this to any one even with out heart problems as I'm learning that PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURING! For any one who cares about their health, this is a good book.

Is OK! 30 Jan 2011
Format:Paperback
The book is OK I suppose but it's not really as healthy or low fat as you'd imagine it would be. If you are suffering from an already existing heart condition you could find you'd be better with the books written by Sally Bee or the WI Healthy Heart cook book. The Secret Ingredient: Delicious, easy recipes which might just save your life The Recipe for Life: Healthy eating for real people Healthy Heart: Best-kept Secrets of the Women's Institute

Easy to understand 20 Nov 2011
By Isis
Format:Paperback
Good simple interesting commonsense book with what seems like easy to follow recipes. I haven't actually tried any of the recipes yet but they don't look time consuming, and there's lots of tasty stuff to eat which we're told is good for the heart.
