Help Please. I have been given 1/2 a goat. I know it is a healthy low far meat, any ideas on cooking it would be gratefully recieved. Also tips on butchering it would be good. Thanks to anyone who can HELP. Lesley

Try the River Cottage Road Trip DVD - Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall sends some goats off to slaughter & then has his mate Ray the butcher round to help cut them up on their return - he also makes some curried goat & mannish water from the goat, as he has a Pirates Of The Caribean style party- the recipe for curry goat is also in the River Cottage Meat book. There may also be something on the River Cottage web site but I haven't looked for ages, so can't be sure. Hope that helps - let me know what it's like - I'd love to try some (sounds delicious !)
