This book contains everything you need to know about cooking but didn't want to ask. It is simply brilliant. The recipies are easy to follow and practical. Whether you are cooking on a budget with a family or want a sumptious dinner party, this invaluable - a must for every cook (budding or not)!

5.0 out of 5 stars All in one cookbook., 8 May 2008
I was very pleased with this book when I recived it. Not only does it have a wide range of dishes for meat-eaters, vegetarian and otherwise it has a section on the different parts and what sort of cooking is used for them. If your learning to cook or just think this would be good for a friend, go buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have, 13 April 2009
By VickyC "Vicky" (Devon England) - See all my reviews
If you wanted to choose one cook book to have in your kitchen, this is the one, packed with good, easy to follow, healthy family and entertaining recipes, I particularly like the vegetarian section. It covers most styles of cooking and would be a good book to learn from.
I have given this book as a present on many occasions and this latest buy was for my youngest daughter who has just moved into her own flat, and she is now regularly entertaining her friends with confidence knowing she can rely on the recipies from this book. I like the spiral spine which makes it easy to open and read, and is durable. A good buy.
