More About the Author

Susanna Tee is an accomplished cook and widely published cookery author, food stylist for photography and teacher at cookery workshops. She graduated in Home Economics, and was awarded The Nestlé Travel Scholarship, which gave her the opportunity to study food and cookery in Europe. She started her career with the Milk Marketing Board, where she wrote their cookery books. This was followed by writing a weekly cookery column as the assistant cookery editor for the family magazine of TV Times. Susanna then become the Head of the Cookery Books at Good Housekeeping, where she was responsible for the writing, food photography and promoting of GH cookery books. Author of over 40 published cookery books, she has also worked with chefs to edit their books and test their recipes for the domestic market. Since her role at Good Housekeeping, Susanna have been a freelance author and used her broad culinary knowledge to write books covering a wide range of cuisines. These include books on Mediterranean cooking, such as Tapas, Risottos, Pasta and World Food Greece. She has written a Fish Bible and a book on Preserves, and the renewed interest in baking has led to books on Cupcakes, Muffins, Cakes and Cookies. Her latest books have been published by Ivy Press in March 2015. Following on from 10,000 Cupcakes book, there is 10,000 Salads and 10,000 Pasta Dishes.

This book is great - all the recipes we've tried so far have been a complete success (which makes a change in our house)! There are recipes for everything from basic chocolate chip cookies to fun biscuits for kids to dainty little treats. We really like the way many of the recipes have an alternative too - e.g. replace such and such with cocoa for a chocolate dough or add lemon for a... etc etc.

There is a great section at the start with advice on how to avoid common pitfalls when baking cookies too.

Definitely recommend it as the one and only book you'll need on biscuits!
