About the Author
Rob Kirby is a Chef Director at one of the UK's most well-respected and successful catering companies - and a firm passionate about their involvement with community-based projects. He is also a leading member of The Academy of Culinary Arts. These two institutions have given Rob the opportunity to work with Great Ormond Street Hospital School, something he has now been engaged with for more than ten years. He has witnessed the difference fun interaction with food can make to the lives of children. With many years of restaurant and catering experience, he is a well-respected figure within the business, with many appearances on UK TV from BBC Breakfast Time to Saturday Kitchen. "Cook with Kids" is his first book.

Excellent book that brings a busy mum and her kids together in the kitchen. Great, easy to follow recipes that the whole family enjoyed making. The buttermilk breaded chicken was a winner!!!! A great cause too with royalties going to Gt Ormond Street.Cooking with Kids

What a great find, a book with 'real' food, suitable for household meals rather than the usual 'treats' included in most cooking with children books. There are sweet treats but in this book my grandchildren consider the chicken dishes to be the real treats! The recipies are clear and easy to follow, the photographs are lovely, the food we have cooked has looked like the photo - not always the case with some cookery books! I particularly like the fact that this book has shelf life, younger children can be involved with the stirring or weighing out, older children can proudly produce food for the family and even young people preparing to go off to Uni can find some recipies to perfect so they can feed themselves well, and relatively cheaply, once they are away from home. So much better for them than surviving on take aways! The knowledge that part of the sale price is going to such a worthy cause (Great Ormond Street Hospital)adds an extra little something to the overall pleasure.
