Brilliant easy to follow with fantastic pictures of each stage make for easy step by step recipes.
Grandchildren love the book and enjoy showing mummy how to do each stage. The end results are great, the children get to taste their own creations and the sheer pleasure on their faces when the dish is put on the table is fabulous.
Another brilliant book from Annabel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cook It Together 9 Feb 2010
Format:Hardcover
Great book, easy to follow recipes that kids will enjoy making and eating. The recipes are great because they get kids involved in making healthy food they might not ordinarily try and because the recipes are based around a few key ingredients, they are not expense either. The book is so cheap to buy, it is worth buying in the hope of getting children interested in cooking and it's also good for a few ideas of healthy snacks too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cook It Together 28 Mar 2009
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I have bought all of Annabel Karmel's books over the past eleven years and although she does sometimes repeat recipes instead of creating new ones, I must admit I did like this book. I liked the way the book was laid out and appealed to a child rather than to a parent to encourage the children to want to cook the recipe (hence the title!)There are ten key ingredients with two recipes for each, a well thought out mixture of sweet, savoury, and also healthy and not so healthy combinations. I think this book will be well used in the future in our house, my daughter thinks the honey cupcakes with the bee icing on the front cover are really cute so I know what I'll be making at her next birthday party!

It's always a risk to buy a book without seeing it first but this is a nicely presented cookbook. Good 'how to do it' photos, and good recipes.
I'm pleased I got this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars For families learning to cook and read!! 13 Oct 2010
By Samavie
Format:Hardcover
Now that my kids are old enough not to burn themselves (I hope!), and can mix, and can read ingredients and instructions, it's time to teach them to cook.
Now, this is all in preparation to teach them to cook in general, but for now, it's just fun.

How does one go about it? Well, I went and bought Annabel Karmel's Cook it Together, and I began with anything sweet.
That works for my son.
As for my daughter, she loves potatoes, so we did the wedges.

Both, I am happy to say, were successful. Basically you can't get Wedges too wrong, but I liked the sour cream dip, and I loved the way she displays / serves the wedges, which I thought was excellent.

As an added extra, and a nice touch, there is a page on most of the food used, that is informative, shows what the food looks like in its natural state, where it's grown, and other such information, which makes the book a bit educational as well. I really thought that was a nice touch!
