About the Author

Dolores Cannon, a regressive hypnotherapist and psychic researcher who records 'Lost' knowledge, was born in 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was educated and lived in St. Louis until her marriage in 1951 to a career Navy man. She spent the next 20 years traveling all over the world as a typical Navy wife, and raising her family. In 1970 her husband was discharged as a disabled veteran, and they retired to the hills of Arkansas. She then started her writing career and began selling her articles to various magazines and newspapers. She has been involved with hypnosis since 1968, and exclusively with past-life therapy and regression work since 1979. She has studied the various hypnosis methods and thus developed her own unique technique which enabled her to gain the most efficient release of information from her clients. Dolores is now teaching her unique technique of hypnosis all over the world. In 1986 she expanded her investigations into the UFO field. She has done on-site studies of suspected UFO landings, and has investigated the Crop Circles in England. The majority of her work in this field has been the accumulation of evidence from suspected abductees through hypnosis. Dolores is an international speaker who has lectured on all the continents of the world. Her thirteen books are translated into twenty languages. She has spoken to radio and television audiences worldwide. And articles about/by Dolores have appeared in several U.S. and international magazines and newspapers. Dolores was the first American and the first foreigner to receive the 'Orpheus Award' in Bulgaria, for the highest advancement in the research of psychic phenomenon. She has received Outstanding Contribution and Lifetime Achievement awards from several hypnosis organizations. Dolores has a very large family who keep her solidly balanced between the 'real' world of her family and the 'unseen' world of her work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent... but read "The Custodians" first 5 Aug 2007
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book builds on many of the concepts introduced in "The Custodians", and other books such as "Between Death and Life". It is recommended, therefore, that you read these two books first. The book is, however, very readable and well worth the effort (500+ pages). You will then be ready for Book Two...

5.0 out of 5 stars A mind-blowing book 16 Jun 2010
By Iona Main Stewart TOP 500 REVIEWER
Dolores Cannon is the most exciting author I've encountered for a very long time, and since this is the first of her books I've read I've got a lot to look forward to,

She's a hypnotherapist and gets the information for her books, or at least this one, from regressions carried out on her clients. These regressions do not merely take the client back to run-of-the mill past lives - no, contact is made, for instance, with fascinating beings from other constellations who have access to all knowledge. In fact, much of the knowledge revealed is so advanced that it is quite difficult to understand, also because the persons involved lack words to describe these advanced concepts.

New information is forthcoming about the demise of Atlantis together with disclosures about genetic experiments carried out there to create mixtures of humans and animals who/which acted as servants.

There is a chapter on unexplained mysteries revealing, among other things, information about the Loch Ness monster (there are apparently not one but seven of them, and also a few in a lake in Africa and two in a lake off the Amazon river.)

This material is so concentrated, it is difficult to take it all in, and one would really need to read the book several times, which I haven't done, in order to digest its content at all.

Crop circles are explained as being formed by "energies within the earth" and constitute messages for us, which we ourselves must decipher.

For me, one of the most interesting chapters was the one on parallel universes. There are an infinite number of these and they're always intersecting. Amazingly, each one of us is constantly responsible for creating new parallel universes, each time we make a decision to do something, no matter how small.

5.0 out of 5 stars Third Eye opening! 24 Oct 2009
I jumped straight into this book as I am already aware of many metaphysical theories. Have to say this book confirmed many things I knew as truth, expanded on some and introduced me to new concepts. This book is a waste of time for anyone with a closed mind, for those of you who have been awakened and have a strong urge to explore the spiritual side of things then grab it with both hands. Whilst some of the concepts are complex they are explained in as simple a manner as our language allows.

On the back of this book I felt drawn to a past life regression, so I went for a session, turns out I had a forward life regression, go figure. Though the message I received was clear. Read this book it is time to awaken the knowledge you hold within.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dolorese, 'Lets talk to dead aliens'... 27 Nov 2009
Dolorese uses her hypnosis talents to regression 'vehicles' into past lives who lived on other planets in alien bodies. Some of the past lives explored are a black monkey looking being that flies battle space ships, a robot which hosts a part of anther being soul that is used to explore hostile planets, a individual that lived on the earth during medieval times and was taught the secrets of the universal by a mystic teacher and an alien being that lives in a underground city on a planet that is inhabitable on the surface. We also learn of: human being who are being abducted by aliens who are trying to raise their vibration in preparation for changes to the earth's consciousness, the existence of the infinite alternative universe that are generated every time each individual makes and choice(a mind blowing concept!) and the history of the earth with particular emphasis on the Atlantis. I would encourage anyone who reads this book to have an open mind, this knowledge may be produced by the subconscious of the individuals who where hypnotised or the imagination of others. However, there is strong evidence that hypnosis is effective at regressions and that may mean this form of information is very accurate insights into very important questions.

3.0 out of 5 stars IMHO! 28 Feb 2011
By wezz
What I read in this book was interesting however it was not what I wanted to learn. I thought it would be heavily metaphysical instead, it was more about ETs and her clients' experiences with them. This is great for anyone looking for that. Its very in depth. I read frm the begining bt then skipped a huge chunk in the middle n went straight for the metaphysical part as my interest in ETs has cooled down a little over the time I'll look for a book which deals with the subject I am interested in specifically rather than as well as other things. :-) nothing wrong with this book though. If u r like me, u will need patience while reading about the small history of the clients and dealing with the Q&A format. I was eager for info so this put me off a little. I prefer relentless info, something I can really get into not stop every now n then to read background info.

4.0 out of 5 stars Starting to Read Book II 25 Sep 2010
Well, it was pretty tough going at times. I decided to read this book whilst on holiday, so I wouldn't be distracted. Some parts of it held me captivated and some I just skipped through because the information was just too difficult to believe. I have a great deal of respect for Dolores Cannon but I did feel that she was leading her subjects in her questions and the more the book went on, the more unbelievable it actually became. That having been said - the whole idea of reading books like this is to get an understanding of others' thoughts and beliefs. I would dearly love to believe that we originated from beings from another planet, because this would provide the missing link everyone has been looking for - it would also satisfy the question about how the pyramids were built. The jury is out on this one. I did buy the full set of three books in this series so when I have read the second and third I will do a full review.
