A New Aiden, 18 Jul 2007
I was at a concert recently where aiden were support to Lost Prophets, they came on and opened up with some fantastic songs such as i set my friends on fire which of course was preceded with the wall of death and die romantic with the voice of WiL Francis filling the arena with fast paced screamo then they announced they would be gracing us with a track from their new album, 'Believe' is what they played and it was incredible some brilliant punk and a great tune with guitars leading the way, it was incredible, certainly a change from the likes of nightmare anatomy, our gangs dark oath and rain in hell which was primarily cover songs but good none the less, this song could be compared to the likes of the faster good charlotte songs (to pick a band) on the young and the hopeless, i would certainly recommend you give it a listen, i know im really excited about bouncing own to the shop on the day of release to pick up my copy of what could be a new era of Aiden becoming bigger and better.

Aiden are Convicts of Brilliance!!!, 25 Aug 2007
If you are stuck in the world of old Aiden prepare to be rattled, shaken, trampled and finally left to listen to this amazing CD.
The screaming is gone, the darkness is gone and whats left?? A bright and gleaming Aiden that show they have talent beyond 'Our Bands Dark Oath' and 'Nightmare Anatomy'. Don't get me wrong i thought those albums were also brilliant but i believe if they carried on with the same trend by next year they would be a worn out band and left to gather dust on my CD rack...this was a breath of fresh air.
This time Aiden bring you less anger and more meaning, reading and listening to the power of the lyrics and overall the album they have compiled this time is outstanding, wiL Francis (vocals) has really expressed his dark past and without dragging us through the album with repeating references to blood and nightmares (Nightmare Anatomy), it is somewhat light hearted and touching.
Immediatly from the beginning 'Opening Departure' shows a change in Aiden, but don't see this as music trickery because from then on you are still dragged into the world of new Aiden. 'One Love' is a good song but not the best on the album, i found that 'Believe' also put you back in touch with original Aiden in terms of it's melody but without a doubt 'Son of Lies' is the peak of brilliance in the album and sends a shiver down your spine with it's loud hard hitting melody.
Overall i feel that 'Conviction' will mean that Aiden will lose fans and gain some, however without a doubt being able to change their style but keep their charm is going to gain them all the respect they need and it will be another busy year for the Seattle rockers.
I have seen Aiden plenty and in the most intimate venues and this November i see them on the 'Taste of Chaos' tour and without a doubt they will shine and shock the croud.
Aiden + New Style = Brilliant Album
Enjoy.

Convict them for crimes against music, 13 Feb 2009
For reasons that elude me, Aiden have, in quite a short space of time, become rather popular. After listening to this travesty of an album I am at a loss as to why this should be so. The vocalist is one of the least technically proficient singers I have ever heard (this is including amateur pub bands), and is so far out of tune in places that he's almost back in tune. In fact, he's so bad that were the music any good whatsoever (it isn't) it would be utterly ruined by his off-key 'singing'.
A quick overview of the album/band: Ugly punk-lite AFI wannabes prone to plagiarising the Cure.
The fact that this hopelessly derivative and turgid band are signed is utterly depressing, and the person responsible should be sacked and forced to listen to the complete works of Aiden through headphones for all eternity. In short, Aiden are another victory for style over substance.
