Great overview of Peter Brook's work 1 Jun 2010
By Lyle Sanders - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
These interviews cover all of Peter Brook's work- first describing the piece, then a detailed and thoughtful interview.
Mind expanding thinking and approaches from a very important and open- minded director.

Very disappointed but I must say that I was warned about the "shortake" and the "opaque answers" in the "Booklist review". These are interviews where the interviewed is always saying: you should find that out in my work. But the reader has no access to the tape or a full and detailed description of the "mise en scene" of the play. He also says: I did that because I wanted to do it. Publishers and authors should refrain from publishing only to sell or for ego purposes, using a well known director as bait. Perhaps the author did not realize about the blank which remains after every subject is discussed but somebody should have pointed it out.
