Does it matter II? 7 Jun 1999
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
Once again. Does it matter if it's from God or not? Does it matter if it mentions Jesus or passes the ridiculous Jesus litmus test as someone mentioned? So what if it doesn't mention Jesus in the first 20 pages or at all. The point is that the message is a good one.

Those of you that are having trouble parting with your limiting views of the world be it for your religious programming or what not, should read this book for the overall message not for its claim that its from God. Once again, the message does not contradict Jesus or the Bible in any way, for Jesus said love thy neighbor as you love yourself, and that in no way differs from what is being said here. If you don't like the statement that Hitler went to heaven in this book, then think about what Jesus said about forgiveness, and turning the other cheek.

People need to learn to love unconditionally, this is very important if we are ever to evolve into the Unity that religions themselves claim to be taking us to. The bible itself tells us not to judge others, yet we, both individually and as organized relgions, love to jump and judge everyone, especially those that do not agree with our religious views. If you get nothing from this or the other 2 books, then get that. Don't judge. Love everyone. You shall see how your world becomes better instantly.

I recommend to everyone to buy this book. It has a lot of value in it. The first one too. Who cares if it was God or not? Do not take it as gospel, take it for the value (and lessons) you can get out of it. Enjoy.

For souls with an open mind! And Book 2 is not just more of Book 1. If you are new to the Conversations With God books it is as good a place to start as any. Walsch and God continue the dialogue begun in the first book, expanding on many of the themes already discussed there. It deals more in specifics and the social implications of a new awareness of God, in oneself and in all of life. The quality and intelligence of the writing is outstanding as it is in all of the CWG series.

Some of the topics discussed are the nature of time (some very interesting science), organized religion (how religion actively separates man from a direct experience of God), sexuality (including a reference to masturbation!) and education (three core concepts of awareness, honesty and responsibility are suggested). "You must stop seeing God as separate from you and you as separate from each other" is proposed as the basis for all government and politics.

Of course Walsch and God are making all this up as they go along... which is exactly the point! Walsch and God ask us to tell the truth to ourselves and each other. "It is always your new thought that creates your reality".

Still inspirational a few years after I first read it.

All my life I have battled with my beliefs and as to their validity regarding God. Everything I watched on tv or heard in the church, no matter how hard I tried to believe, felt wrong, miscommunicated, and not the true word of God. I turned my beliefs and realizations inward, crystalizing what I believed to be right in my heart and soul. Then I read this book, and was stunned, amazed, and filled with joy. Almost everything expressed in this book were identical to what I believed to be true. Ever since I have started reading this book, I have found a true sense of peace I thought I would never feel. I have been telling all my friends to buy this book and read it! Open you mind, let go of your hatred, disbelief. Don't fall prey to those relegious teachers who would have you believe this book is blasphemus. God never stopped talking, we just stopped listening.
