5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent title choice 24 Dec 2010
By Stephanie Osmond - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The title of this book is extreamly fitting as the majority of the conversation starters in this book deal with modern age issues such as technology and what not. Additionally the conversation starters can be used in multiple situations with any gender. The ice breakers in this book are geared more towards the "nerd culture" however. I did enjoy the format it makes it convienient to use at anytime.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Limited Value 16 Mar 2011
By R. Billingsley - Published on Amazon.com

The only place these conversation starters would be used is in a crowded room at a party or similar event, where everybody is doing small talk. They would never be appropriate as a conversation starter anywhere else. Would you walk up to a total stranger in a supermarket and say: Hi, "Would you lie to someone just to start a conversation with them?" I would look at that person, ask them if they are some kind jerk and walk away. To use these on anyone requires some kind of previous communication existed prior that developed at least a minimum level of rapport. I don't think this book is worth much more than I paid for it: $2.99 - Kindle price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Help 21 Dec 2010
By John Fecko - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
As someone who does not excel at starting conversations with strangers, this book is a great resource. Most of the conversation starters I have tried sound like cheesy pick up lines. This book will be very useful the next time I am at one of my wife's company parties.
