Product Description

Bioclimatic air coolers work by passing air through a soaked pad. As the water in the pad evaporates it causes a cooling effect rather like when you wet your finger then blow on it and it feels cold. Magicool comes with the sophisticated, high tech and ultra-powerful Stealth fan that distributes the cooled air around the room. What's more, the fan is super quiet making it ideal for use in the bedroom, giving you undisturbed sleep. To be effective these units require a constant supply of fresh air. It is therefore best used in a room with the doors or windows open to allow a continuous supply of fresh, lower humidity air. The amount of cooling is dependent on the room conditions. If it is a hot dry day they will cool more effectively than if it is cooler and/or more humid day.

This air cooler is very effective and uses evaporation (rather than a compressor) to cool your room. Although it doesn't need a vent hose you do need to be able to allow the air to circulate by having open windows/doors into the room being cooled. The fan although not silent is quiet with 3 settings and the evaporation (cooling) facility is regulated by controlling the flow of water behind the fan - an added benefit being the soothing sound of flowing water. It isn't particulary compact but it is well made and very effective providing you allow the circulation of air through the room to be cooled (if you do not it gets humid). Certainly recommended for the inevitable heat of summer.
