This book is a "must" for anyone who wants to know more about how the Irish labourers fared in this period. It is sometimes humorous but gives you a very accurate portrayal of what it was like for the Irish then.

A Splendid Book ..a must read for all those interested in our forefathers that came to work in the Uk in the early 1950s.. John B Keane has a brilliant eye for detail and of course a great story..
