Margo Selby's name is synonymous with contemporary weaving with style. This book seems to reflect Selby's style beautifully. It starts with a grounding in materials and inspiration, showing yarns and how to develop a colour palette - loved this section. Colour, construction, texture, keeping records and finishing techniques are all included here. In the next chapter, colour is looked at in more detail where Margo looks at many different striped combinations. The meat of the book is the collections. A series of striking weaving designs based loosely on stripes and using different yarns to effect. There are colourful designs, white on white and black on white. Each design is given half a page and there is a simple chart. A lovely book for fans of Margo Selby and for lovers of weaving everywhere. Excellent production, design and photos.
