This book is excellent when looking for inspiration or just the occasional little idea to bring a design all together. The colour photographs are very well chosen and presented and the texts included are interesting, informal and just the right length to digest easily. Every so often I just browse through the book and the many different styles and find a lot of artisitc stimulation combined with the right amount of information. A brilliant book for beginners in stained glass taking their first steps.

Excellent 3 Dec 2004
Format:Paperback
This book is a great introduction to the major developments in secular architectural glasswork of the period (mainly 80's). Large, clear photo's with good commentary covering both general themes and specific artists make this book one of the best on a subject that suffers from a lack of written material. Recommended to anyone with an interest in this woderful subject. If you like this, look out for Andrew Moors other book: Architectural Glass Art, which follows later developments (90's).

This book is full of good quality photographs of modern stained glass. Most are abstract designs and large scale. Each photograph is captioned and there is a brief, but interesting introduction and profiles of six artists. The work shown is exciting and varied. With so many good photographs it looks like a much more expensive book.
