The best politics text book 28 Feb 2000

This text book is a live saver for anyone who needs recent examples to back up their politics essays. It has all the infomation A level students need and is a considerable help for revision. It is well illustrated and explains things simply. A very worthwile textbook. If you only buy one text book make it this one!

The best book for A Level Politics 1 July 2004

I was so glad when they published the new edition.

I have used this new edition for my A Level course and it has helped me achieve a high A and enabled me to study at Cambridge now. I compared some text books, included Politics UK, British Politics in Focus etc, I found this one most suitable for A Level students. Some argue that British Politics in focus is a bit shallow and will not be able to further essay writings. Politics UK is an excellent text book too but it is said to be to vague. But Politics UK is certainly more suitable for degree students.

I used this book together with articles from Politics Review and Talking Politics. I think they combine well and I would strong recommend this book to those who want the right level of text books for A Level.
