I was so glad when they published the new edition.
I have used this new edition for my A Level course and it has helped me achieve a high A and enabled me to study at Cambridge now. I compared some text books, included Politics UK, British Politics in Focus etc, I found this one most suitable for A Level students. Some argue that British Politics in focus is a bit shallow and will not be able to further essay writings. Politics UK is an excellent text book too but it is said to be to vague. But Politics UK is certainly more suitable for degree students.
I used this book together with articles from Politics Review and Talking Politics. I think they combine well and I would strong recommend this book to those who want the right level of text books for A Level.

There's no point me saying much, as other contributors have said it. This book is brilliant for those wanting a general and comprehensive introduction to British politics. But because politics changes so much, try and get the latest edition if you can afford it.
