4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT INFORMATION 17 Feb. 2014

I loved the information on deciding what to plant in containers. I wish it had more specifics on types of containers, like milk jugs or pretzel barrels.

Over all I would recommend to others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, Cheerful and a Quick Little Reference for Any Beginner 7 Feb. 2014

A great little set of step-by-steps, suggestions and tips for anyone wanting to get started in gardening without all of the big work of a yard makeover. Container gardening is a good place to start, especially for those that do not have space. Container gardening is fine for indoors and outdoors.

I appreciate Lori's inspiration for this book. She likes to cook using fresh ingredients but the inspiration comes from the grocery costs of these ingredients with their poor quality. She jumped out and realized how SIMPLE, economic, and tasty it was to do it herself and ended in great fun. I started this journey in the very same way, over 15 years ago! I wished I had this then.

This little guide seems to have had many experiences in trial runs, so save yourself the time and errors! Along the way, all gardeners learn new techniques and make modifications to suite their personal needs. This covers edibles, flowers, trees and an easy water garden for good fun.

End of the day, gardening in any way is just MIND THERAPY! Thanks Lori, this was lovely...

3.0 out of 5 stars It was fine 12 Mar. 2014

It was decent. There were a few good tips. Very basic, I would have appreciated more on possible problems and how to avoid them. It was still enjoyable to read.
2.0 out of 5 stars lacking information to make a well-rounded book 5 Feb. 2014

I felt the book didn't have enough information. The best info explains container sizes for some of the vegetables. In some ways its too detailed with easy to explain tasks. But then I feel like a more thorough book would include this information plus more specific information about the types of herbs (and what they might be used for), trees that work well in containers. And I still don't know what a "water garden" is according to this author. Some photos, diagrams, or drawings would have been exceptionally helpful for this topic.
