Three months on Amazon's Top 100 Bestsellers in Horror!

"The world of independent e-books is crammed full of zombie related reading material. Some of these e-books are written well, others are written really well. "Contagion" written by L.I. Albemont falls into the latter category."
- examiner.com Arts and Entertainment

"In a time when zombie novel books seem to litter the shelves of every bookstore, or the screens of every website, this is one that is refreshing in its difference." -The Zombie Librarian

Almost overnight the town becomes a snowy tomb of the roaming, hungry infected. Stranded by the weather, hiding, a small group of survivors follow the progress of the disease as society around them and around the world begins to break down. FROM AMAZON REVIEWS:

Top Notch Zombie Fiction!
"If you love The Walking Dead and anything Zombies, this book is for you. I had trouble putting it down. Really liked the detailed descriptions in the book and the author made me care for the characters. I really hope the author pens a follow up to this book because the ending leaves me wanting more and closure...that is the only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of 5! Just purchased this author's next book A Haunting and hope that it keeps me as interested as this book did. WELL DONE!"

“TERRIFIC READ…Very, very good zombie/end of the world story. Well worth your time. One that I think about after -- a story that sticks with you. Really liked it.”

"...hands down one of the best novels in the genre."

Look for World Without End: A Novel of The Living Dead, book two in the series, now available on Amazon.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read 9 Sep 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a really good read with a slightly different take on how the zombie virus started, (and when it started). I loved the characters and thought the whole thing very believable...if you know what I mean.

A great book with a great ending, and I bought the second book in the series before finishing this first one - would HIGHLY recommend!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Were the Virus comes from 20 July 2011
By P. Pranke - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is an author to watch out for. Of the many zombie books I have read this one gives an explanation of were the origins of the zombie virus may have come from and how long it has really been around. The characters are well thought out and interesting I hope there will be another novel following these characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top-notch zombie fiction 13 Jun 2012
By GenXmom - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I had this book on my wish list for a few months and finally got around to reading it. I'm glad I did. The storyline was interesting, I love when books start before the actual crisis begins, so we get to see the origins of the disease and just how everything goes to hell. The virus had an interesting backstory complete with historical references, the characters were believable, regular people (not super-human zombie killing machines), and the story was well-written and edited. All in all, a satisfying read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripped me from start to finish 26 Oct 2011
By Brenda - Published on Amazon.com

Contagion: A Novel Of The Living Dead by L.I Albemont was an awesome read. I was pleasantly surprised.

The author has a very creative mind, and his descriptions were fantastic. I could visualize the infected ripping out the intestines of the living...

For those who love the zombie/horror genre, I highly recommend this story.

3.0 out of 5 stars The living dead explained. 14 Aug 2012
By Bookworm - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In this book the author first explains why the living dead exist and furthers the explanation throughout the book. This is a story of how one torn family comes together throughout a terrible outbreak. The main character interacts with other characters on her journey and finds that she cannot trust all those that she encounters. I would recommend this book and hope that there is a second one!
