Product Description

Review

'The topics are logically organised and presented in a manner that is easy to follow, and just about every relevant subject, from planning to completion, is included...It would be a useful addition to the library of anyone involved in house construction and would be relevant on a wide range of courses, from basic technician level to architectural degrees.' - Matthew Harrington, Times Higher Education

Format:Paperback
Usually a recommended book for many built environment courses. This book has strong content where needed. The statutory control chapter is quite useful. Sustainability is covered well and provides a more in depth look at certain topics.

Certain chapters could be covered better like roofs, I found other similar books dedicating 100 pages to this topic where as this book spans just under 40 pages.

Another useful point about this book is that it begins each chapter with an info point detailing where each topic is used in the Building regulations and British Standards.

This book isn't too heavy on those who do not know much about building. Complete with diagrams.
