I've been waiting in earnest for this new book for about a year and bought it within a week of it coming out and read it within 3 days - inbetween working and children etc. This is the missing link between illness and the mind - ie wellness.

From her experiences as a trained and experienced psyclogist and from drawing from her own healing journey, Gill walks her talk and is able to explain how physical wellness can be obtained and how we all have it within ourselves to come back to a state of natural good health. Whatever illness we may have had.

This book explains the science between mind and body (in laymans terms) and explains the practicalities of achieving wellness from the comfort of your own home, without taking any prescribed medication.

I loved the 12 steps to wellness at the end of the book, a lovely reminder of the whole book. Definitely a reference book for now and the future.

THANKYOU Gill, you have brought healing to another level.

I'm genuinely excited by Conscious Medicine. Gill has brought together all the advancements in the New Sciences and quantum physics, and has coupled it with a vast range of cutting-edge information on tools and techniques that transform the body-mind.

I have been an avid reader of Gill's work for almost 15 years, and she has always shared her own personal experience as an integral part of the content of her books. Conscious Medicine is no exception, and the fact that this book has been inspired by Gill's own healing journey, ensures that there is a heart-felt depth to its contents.

Gill's journey is one that is close to my heart. Since healing myself of two incurable health conditions (CFS/ME and Bipolar Affective Disorder), I entered a world of what on the surface, appears to be miracles. I have since seen, heard of or witnessed countless stories of those who have defied the limitations set out to them by modern medicine and transformed their own health and wellbeing. And although these may appear to be miracles on the surface, Conscious Medicine will give you an in depth insight into how and why these seeming miracles occur. So, in many ways, Gill has taken the mystique out of self-healing, and has showed us how you can access such `miracles' in your everyday life.

This book is an elegant journey through some key concepts that I know to be vital, from my own work in this field. Gill explains with pinpoint accuracy how stress and trauma create disease, she explores the importance of transforming beliefs for changing health, and she takes you through a myriad of exercises that help you shift from a place of fear, to a loving universe.

I have just started reading this book by Gill Edwards and began to feel excited about it within the first few pages. I agree that it is the right book at the right time. I have read 2/3 of her other books and will be looking hopefully, for more from her. The other book I am very fond of is 'Living Magically' and would like more of the same. Those 2 books of hers really resonate with me. I also found 'Concious Medicine' empowering although I still feel that I am a beginner. I know I will always be learning throughout my life and I now enjoy the learning after closing myself off from it for many years after becoming dependent on medication. Now, I don't see why we can't have the best of both worlds with a view to lessening the need for medication. While I use it I will still consult with my Doctor if need be. Sometimes, my visit is just for reassurance or more often about what can I do to help myself? It seems that he understands this and knows if I am there for that reason. He did once say "you ask questions that other patients don't ask" but took the time to answer my question. I am learning to look within more often for the answers I need and buy books, similar to this because, I am "hungry for learning" especially in this sort of subject. Sometimes I make mistakes with the books I buy. I have been on this path from 1990 when my learning started and still consider myself "a beginner". Maybe it is time to put "advanced" before that so that I make progress from "beginner" I have learned a lot in that time but my problem is still in the remembering of that learning which is why I am still also buying books on self-hypnosis. I put 2 items away, "in a safe place" in March 2010 and got the words in my head "you don't usually put them there" and answered "I'll remember"....well...Read more ›

I was delighted to hear that Gill's latest book on Conscious Medicine was out. I downloaded it immediately onto my iPad and spent the whole afternoon transfixed, only putting it down once to take my dog for a walk. For me it was exactly the right book at the right time as I was recovering from a bad bout of bronchitis which I got after doing some work that I wasn't aligned to.

The three key messages I took away from Gill's book were:

- The environment we are in is crucial to our health. When we are in a toxic environment (whether physically or emotionally), our cells will go into stress mode, make us vulnerable to disease and won't be available for growth and healing.

- Our thoughts, emotions and physical being are all interlinked. The beliefs and the emotions I hold are just as important to my health as the food I put into my mouth, the air that I breathe and the exercise I do.

- I can heal myself. First by using the various techniques Gill suggests to clear energy blockages. Then secondly, by consciously choosing the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical environment that will keep each individual cell in my body in optimal balance for optimal health.

Gill's reading list is extensive, and I've already downloaded a couple of other books that go deeper into some of the aspects that resonated with me most.

Overall, I finished Conscious Medicine feeling very empowered and with a true sense of being in partnership with my body, rather than in battle with it!

Enjoy.
