The product photo of this watch really doesn't do it justice. In real life the strap is not a wishy-washy grey, but rather a dark black. The watch display is a very glossy jet black also and so the whole thing looks very nice. When not illuminated it shows as a black wristband with only the shiny "OVO" logo on display.
I previously had a
The One binary watch which was great - but sadly it died after I fell over and it took the full force of the impact against a brick wall, but this OVO watch is just as effective and very funky looking for around a tenth of the price! In some respects this is better too, instead of having LED bulbs illuminate, this has actual numbers. This makes it far easier to read in the dark because instead of trying to see which bulb correlates to which number (where the numbers 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1 were printed underneath the lights), with this watch the part which illuminates shows the number itself.
It's easy to set up with two buttons on the side, simply press and hold the mode button and then press the adjust button to set the hour and minutes, it also indicates PM when relevant to do so. Once set up (which took less than a minute) you just press either of the buttons and the time illuminates for 6 seconds - adequate enough time to glance at the display and add up the numbers!
In a nutshell: The watch is plastic with a rubberised strap, it feels very light but also quite solid. For the price this is a great purchase, as I say - it looks a lot better than the product picture and is the perfect gift for any geek like myself.

I received this watch as a gift and absolutely loved it. It looks good and is a great geeky item to have on your person at all times. However I was slightly annoyed that to tell the time I had to first press a button as the display does not stay illuminated, which if you're doing something that requires both hands....you cannot just glance at it. Also it broke almost exactly a year after purchase which was also not great. All things considered I would definitely recommend this to anyone as a good geeky purchase. For the price it really is unbeatable.

Better than I expected, 31 Oct 2011

This watch looks much nicer in the flesh. Like others have said it has no logo on the front and is all the better for it. Looks very smart on the wrist & keeping good time so far. I'm a bit of a watch fan and have about 30 but have had more comments and compliments about this watch than any other, including an Omega Seamaster! What more do you want for £10?
