Read it in one day, almost like a novel. First, Dr. Coleman explains the several different forms of arthritis ( I learned one the types of arthritis I experience is in the area where the ligaments and tendons join the bone and the other one directly in the muscles which surround a joint), this medical section might make 1/3 of the book. I am naturally inclined to prefer alternative medicine and Coleman explains (although briefly but with sympathy) the different forms of alternative treatment offered; diet is also referred to (no surprise there, meat is our first enemy), and finally comes the advice to continue a light form of exercise (swimming is the best, walking the second best).
I am so enthusiastic at having found a doctor explaining medical conditions in such layman easy terms that the next such book I will be reading is, from him, "How to conquer health problems between ages 50 and 120". After all, after 60 I've come to realize health is my bigger wealth and my utmost responsibility.
May I remind you that Vernon Coleman has written over 100 books and is considered as one of the prize authors in his own country: England.
Actually the first time I was introduced to this author was recently with a free Kindle novel: "The Young Country Doctor, Bilburry Chronicles". And since I was raised in France, "Secrets of Paris: Paris for beginners, an Insider's Guide" (incidentally praised by French Magazine) this book is earmarked in my long "Wish List" on Amazon!
