Connexity stands out from the stream of knee-jerk books about globalisation. Mulgan cuts through a the confusion by focussing on one of the central dilemmas we face: how we reconcile our desire for freedom and choice, with an ever more interconnected world.
The writing is clear, to the point and accessible.It's neither over-hyped nor dull academic prose. Mulgan's range is breathtaking. He synthesises ideas from computing and communications, with others from politics, history and evolution. It's thoughtful and full of new ideas and perspectives.
