These are my first crimp ends as I'm an RJ45 virgin. I'm creating a 50m long solid-core UTP cable for an internet TV project so I can get a network into a nearby concert venue. I wasn't sure if these crimp terminals would work with solid-core cables. Well, they do. They just require that you have all the leads trimmed to the exact same length and spend a minute or so working all 8 as far in as they will go, and it all works perfectly. These seem very cheap and they are very straightforward to use.

I am a novice crimper but with only a couple of goes I succeeded, so I reckon these are alright
They are longer than some that you can buy like they used to be in the 90's. I have bought some from B&Q before which are shorter and have had problems getting a good crimp. These worked a tread. A good buy.

This item was difficult to attach to the lan cable, I used six of these before I suceeded. I would not recommend these to people who were not used to wiring appliances.
